To ensure the well-being of the community by providing comprehensive health services, education, and livelihood support, the Health Department is responsible. Under this, the following activities are carried out by the Health Department of the Municipal Corporation:

  • Comprehensive healthcare, vaccination, national health programs, pre-and post-natal care services.
  • Urban Poor Scheme - Assistance for medical treatment for urban poor up to one lakh.
  • Vector Control Department - Control measures for vector-borne diseases.
  • Birth and Death Department - Registration of births and deaths.
  • Food and Drug Department - Approval for hospitals, food establishments, etc.
  • Emergency Assistance Scheme - Assistance for medical treatment for municipal employees and service providers.
  • Dog Control Department - Control of stray dogs.
  • Epidemic Control Department - Control measures for sudden outbreaks of diseases.
  • PCPNDT Department - Registration of sonography machines.
  • Animal Husbandry Department.
  • Registration of vehicles under the Health Department and providing information about vehicles available in the department.
  • Implementation of plans and their beneficiaries from the Hospital Department.
