The Education Department of the Municipal Council aims to elevate the standard of education by implementing various schemes, enhancing the quality of education for students, increasing attendance in schools, and promoting direct benefits to beneficiaries, thereby consistently striving for educational development.

Under the Education Department of the Municipal Council, the responsibility of administering schools and ensuring the welfare of students is coupled with the implementation of various development plans. This includes initiatives such as competitions, knowledge exhibitions, INSPIRED AWARD scheme, school nutrition programs, student welfare, etc.

  • Monitoring exams for 10th and 12th grades

Mira Bhayander Municipal Education Department receives 50% municipal subsidy and 50% government subsidy for salary of teachers, pensioners and family pensioners in the establishment. There are total 36 schools of municipality under education department and currently 157 teachers are working and 01 teacher is permanently absent. There are also 22 family pensioners and 147 pensioners.
